It's a challenge for the Australian squad to break new ground.

The top summits have already been conquered.

This is the team that has won seven Cricket World Cups, plus six more T20 titles, and previously enjoyed 1,294 days undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, the ones sought by the record chasers, are the only things left for a squad that has achieved everything.

It needed until Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase exceeding 300, taking back their record for the largest in the women's 50-over format, is, in truth, a tribute to the pitchers that have represented Australia over the past 50 years.

It's challenging for their hitters to hold a record if not provided the opportunity.

Ultimately, the result of Australia giving up 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy getting a platform to produce her most recent brilliance.

Then best known as the young family member of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she made her debut in 2010 after Australia didn't secure either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups from the prior year and has witnessed all through 15 successful years since.

"A chance to play and lock in a contest with her and just have a bit of fun in that aspect, kind of motivated me," said Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 balls - her swiftest at a World Cup - and her hundred in 84 deliveries while she attacked short-pitched balls, striking 21 boundaries and three maximums.

When she was removed her side required another 66 at run per delivery - an achievable target now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Pursuing 330 is uncharted waters so I'm happy we have the belief to accomplish that now," added Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to do it another time but, if we do, we know we can succeed."

That comment will be the final thing rival teams at this championship need to hear.

Over the past five days a feeling they will triumph from any situation has become more firm - this triumph succeeding success over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite being 76-7 at one point.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before an encounter with old rivals England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final berth may probably be guaranteed.
